I. Strong Adhesion
The surface of the extruded polystyrene board is specially roughened, resulting in a bond strength more than 60% higher than that of ordinary extruded polystyrene boards.
II. Unparalleled Thermal Insulation Performance
Polystyrene foam boards have a thermal conductivity of no more than 0.028 W/m·K, significantly lower than that of other insulation materials, thereby exhibiting high thermal resistance and a low coefficient of linear expansion. They are widely used in roof insulation systems, cold storage facilities, and both interior and exterior wall insulation, delivering unparalleled performance.
III. Zero-Wet Absorbency
As a superior thermal insulation material, water absorption is an extremely important technical parameter; high water absorption leads to degraded insulation performance. Extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards feature a fully closed-cell structure with no gaps on either surface, effectively preventing moisture from penetrating due to leakage, condensation, or freeze–thaw cycles. This robust barrier inhibits the ingress of water molecules, thereby protecting the board from aging and ensuring that its thermal insulation layer retains its effectiveness over time. Otherwise, prolonged exposure can result in the loss of insulation performance and necessitate costly repairs to the entire insulation system.
The closed-cell structure of XPS boards effectively prevents the penetration of water molecules, including water vapor. Even if the boards are mechanically damaged during installation, their tightly interlocked honeycomb structure ensures that they continue to maintain low water absorption. Thanks to this effective barrier against water penetration and their inherently hydrophobic nature, aging is virtually nonexistent, giving XPS boards a service life nearly as long as the building itself.
